Ramadan stand ‘Dear Library Team, As usual, I love what you do, I appreciate you a lot! I’ve got another suggestion: to put a Ramadan stand in front of the Library desk. It will be excellent to highlight Islamic resources and/or contributions to medicine! It’ll be a great way for non-observers of the month to learn about it and observers to feel more at home. Thank you for taking the time to complete a Tell Us What You Think Form. It is lovely to read how much you appreciate the work of the team at the Walton Library.

Thank you for suggestion to have a display of Islamic resources and or Islamic contributions to medicine to coincide with Ramadan. It is fantastic that you’re considering ways we may highlight different resources in our displays.

Our library displays are planned up to a year in advance. We aim to highlight resources that connect with the University’s research interests and showcase the strengths in our collections. We are currently developing some non-academic leisure reading collections via Libby (which is for e-resources) so this may be avenue we could explore regarding this idea.

I will share your suggestion with colleagues involved in these activities. In the meantime, may I take this opportunity to wish you Ramadan Mubarak and thank you again for your valued suggestion.
