Monitor with docking station
Hi,

I would be helpful to students if there are some space provided for computer monitor with docking stations (with keyboard and mouse). Some of us student usually bring our own laptop to study and it would greatly help us if this service is available.

I notice this service has already recently been installed by the Law School at their PGR room and PGT room.

Library Response

Thank you for taking the time to complete a Tell Us What You Think form relating to IT equipment in the Library and for making us aware of the existing docking stations available in the Law School which we will find out more about.

It is important to us that we continue to provide equipment to our students that is fit for purpose to allow you to work most effectively and that is consistent across each of our four libraries. At the moment, our closest offering to this is the large display screens in our group study rooms which allow connection from your own device via HDMI or wirelessly (in some cases).

Library study spaces and equipment within them are constantly evolving in response to valuable student feedback, and though I don't believe your suggestion is something we've recently explored, I will take these discussions forward with colleagues responsible for the Library's space development as well as the IT Service, responsible for IT hardware purchasing and support.

I will update you with any developments on this.

Kind Regards,

Stephen Harding
