To acquire university associated software licences for your personal machine at home:
'Software Deals' on the NUIT site lists software available for free and at discounted prices. Some of this software has been made available in direct response to the covid-19 situation.
Scrolling down to 'Software via our University Site Licenses (Free and Discounted)' shows a list of links to forms which can be submitted to request personal licences for software commonly used in the university, including EndNote bibliographic and SPSS statistical analysis packages.
'NUIT Licences' provides more information including 'how to renew an existing licence' as well as 'how to request software licences not listed'.
When taking advantage of software licensed on your personal device you must comply with all applicable licensing conditions. This usually means you have to remove copies of software from your personal devices when you leave the University.
Alternatively students may wish to look at purchasing their own EndNote licence which they can continue to use after leaving Newcastle University: 'Purchase EndNote'.
