To request an article from a journal which the Library does not subscribe to, please complete the Inter-Library Loan (ILL) request form which can be found on the Inter-Library Loan Webpage.

When submitting your request, please select "Request a journal" for articles and whole journals. Please supply as much information as possible to help us identify the item you require. An ISSN will also speed up the process.  You can use  Jisc Library Hub Discover to find the ISSN of the journal.

Most Inter-Library Loan requests are free of charge, however  we do charge for some items supplied by libraries abroad and you will be contacted to check if you want this.

Remember to check Library Search before making your ILL request to in case the Library already has access to the article you require. Also make sure to search by journal title and then the contents or index  in case we hold a physical copy at the Research Reserve (you can request a scan of an article if we do).
