If the item you have requested via Inter-Library Loans is not available in the UK, and you are a postgraduate, staff, or associate staff member, we can try to obtain the item from abroad for you. The charge for this service is £15.00 for a loan or £9.00 for an article or chapter.
Inter-Library loan staff will let you know if they are unable to source the item in the UK and will send you an email offering you a Worldwide Search and informing you of the charge to be paid in advance. If you do not want to proceed further please reply to the email asking ILL staff to cancel your request.
If you would like to go ahead with the request, respond to the email and make a payment in advance by telephoning the phone number given (it will either be Philip Robinson Library or Walton Library, depending on where you make your ILL requests), and please have ready the card you wish to use to make the payment, the request number from the email and state the amount you are paying. Alternatively you can come to the library and pay by credit /debit card in person during Service Desk hours.
Once the payment has been taken, ILL staff will go ahead and process the request.
