We do encourage you to stay hydrated and take regular breaks whilst studying. You can eat hot and cold food and drink in the Cafe EAT@ROBINSON LIBRARY on Level 2 of the Philip Robinson Library (you don't have to buy anything there, you can bring your own food and drink). In Your Space on Level 1 and Open Space on Level 2 cold food and drinks are allowed but please no hot food! Everywhere else in the building, we only allow water and covered drinks. Water fountains are available on Levels 3 & 4.

The same approach holds for the Marjorie Robinson Library Rooms and the Law and Medical libraries too. In quiet or silent study areas only water and covered drinks are allowed. In collaborative areas cold food and covered drinks are allowed. Both the Walton Library and the Marjorie Robinson Library Rooms have cafes in where you can purchase food and drink. Any hot food must be consumed in the cafe area.

This policy is intended to preserve our library materials, computer equipment & furnishings, and to maintain a pleasant, comfortable & hygienic environment for all our users and staff to work in throughout the year.
