When using the Remote Application Service (RAS) through your web browser (http://ras.ncl.ac.uk) you will be unable to save files to local storage drives. Users can however save files/articles to their University 'H Drive' from within RAS. The 'H Drive' is then accessed by using the 'Documents and Drives' application menu on RAS.

There are two icons available from the Documents and Drives application menu on RAS. By selecting 'My University Documents' users are able to access, open and edit the files stored on their university 'H drive'.

Without installing the full 'Citrix Receiver' software on their computer, users will be unable to move files directly between their 'H Drive' and local storage drives.

Users can however access their 'H Drive' from any personal device with an internet connection by browsing to the following webpage and using the 'Filr' service: https://filr.ncl.ac.uk. From here files/articles can be downloaded to a personal device/PC.

Users of the RAS can also upload files stored on their 'H drive' from within RAS to their university email and send these to themselves to access on their personal PC/device.

For more information please see the IT Service RAS help page: 'Accessing Documents and Drives'.
