To use the accessible study rooms you must first have been assessed by Student Wellbeing Services. They will pass your details to the Library to show that you are allowed to use the rooms and to benefit from extended loan periods for shorter loan items.

To be sure of gaining access you should book in advance at the Philip Robinson Library/ Marjorie Robinson Library Rooms in person, via Library Help; or online at and at the Walton Medical Library, in person, by phone (0191 208 8108) or by email If a room is free you can make your booking on arriving at the library.

Rooms (Philip Robinson Library) can be booked for up to 4 hours at a time. You may be able to stay longer if there are no subsequent bookings. Please ask a member of staff to check first.
