Philip Robinson Library
The group study rooms on Levels 3 & 4 can be booked in advance by Newcastle University students. (A group is three or more people.) You can book online here for up to two hours at a time. You will lose the room if you are more than 10 minutes late for your booking.
Individual study rooms are also available but on a first come, first served basis. YourSpace on level 1 is available for groups on the same basis.
Accessible study rooms are available for those whose details have previously been passed to the Library by Student Wellbeing. They can be booked online at: https://libbookings.ncl.ac.uk/
There are 14 group rooms available in the Walton Library for Newcastle University students, and they are variously suited to groups of two to eight people. The rooms are not bookable in advance.
To use a group room, please go to the service desk and ask for a key, stating the number in your group. A key will be issued to your smartcard for a period of four hours. Group rooms are not renewable. Overdue charges of £1.00 per hour or part of an hour are levied for the late return of keys.
The Walton Library also has an accessible study room. As with group rooms, you can loan the key from the service desk for a maximum of two hours.
