We do encourage you to stay hydrated and take regular breaks whilst studying.
Café facilities at Philip Robinson Library are open for hot and cold food and drink, whereas the Walton Library's Coffee Cart provides hot and cold drinks. Walton Library users wishing to purchase hot food can visit 'Dental Bite' in the Dental School.

Hot and cold water and vending machines are available across the libraries.
At Philip Robinson, boiling water is available from a 'ZIP' water dispenser located near the rear of Cafe area. Cold drinking water available in the same area. Chilled water is also available from water fountains by lifts on Levels 3 and 4.
At Marjorie Robinson Reading Rooms, boiling water is available from a 'ZIP' water dispenser by the stairway next to the Cafe area. Cold drinking water is available from a tap in this same area. Chilled water is also available from water fountains by lifts on first and second floors.
Drinks in bottles and spill-proof containers are allowed in the Law Library.
Food is not permitted in the Law Library.
There is a Student Common Room available for use in Newcastle Law School which has cold water and a boiling water tap for hot drinks.
