On Monday 16 June 2025 we performed some essential upgrades to our Library Search system, and whilst this upgrade means we will be able to bring you some exciting new features in the future, it does mean that any searches that were saved prior to this date will not appear automatically in your account.

To retrieve and reinstate your saved searches follow these simple instructions:

1. Click on this link - Retrieve my Library Search Saved Searches - and login with your Newcastle University Campus ID.

2. Within this application, follow the link to retrieve your Saved Search within Library Search.

3. To re-save these searches to your Library Search account, simply click the Save Query link (with the pushpin icon).

4. Repeat the above steps for each of the Saved Searches you would like to reinstate.

Once you’ve completed this, your Saved Searches will remain within your Library Account with no further action needed.

A few other things to know…

Saved Searches added to your account between Wednesday 11 June and Monday 16 June 2025 may not appear. In this instance, please contact the Digital Library Services team below. Any added after this date will automatically remain within your account.

This self-service application will be available until 30 September 2025. After this time, please contact Digital Library Services who may still be able to assist.

As part of exploring the existing new features, it’s likely we’ll want to speak to you – our students, staff and customers. So as always, keep a close eye on our social media and website updates if you’d like to be involved.

For any support relating to this update please contact Digital Library Services via email – lib-web@ncl.ac.uk. For any other Library help and support, please use Library Help.
