  • We know that our main library, the Philip Robinson Library, is very popular with Law students due to its longer opening hours and variety of study spaces. Over 60% loans for print books by Law students are borrowed from the Philip Robinson Library.
  • We have invested in a growing Law digital content, including e-books and key legal research resources such as Law Trove, Westlaw UK, Lexis+, and HeinOnline.

  • The Law Library will be open Monday – Friday, 10am – 5pm during teaching and assessment weeks from 15th September 2025. Opening hours will be updated on the Visiting the Library webpages. So, we aim to ensure that essential titles for taught students should be accessible while the Law Library is closed.

For all of the above reasons, it now makes sense to integrate Law collections into Level 3 of the Philip Robinson Library, to give you extended and equitable access to your specialist materials, which will be available 27/4 during term time for the first time.
