Under University regulations all PhD theses are automatically restricted for a period of 6 months after deposit.
After this initial 6 month embargo authors may request a further period of restriction if the request is supported by their Supervisor/Head of School and the Dean of Postgraduate Studies for the relevant Faculty. Reasons for an extended restriction could include an intention to publish material in the thesis or third-party copyright permission are being sought.
Therefore you may find a thesis is unavailable beyond the initial 6 months but the Theses Team will be able to let you know when the thesis is due to be released. You can contact them via LibraryHelp.
