Laptops are only for self-isolating students living locally.

As all students are now required to be on campus and can therefore access facilities such as PC's in the various clusters around campus, we are only lending laptops to those students who are self-isolating and have been referred to the service by Student Wellbeing.

NUIT have a drop-in service https://www.ncl.ac.uk/itservice/support/clusteritservicedesks/ where they can help with any software issues on student laptops although they wouldn't be able to help with hardware issues.
