  1. Book a slot:

Go to Book a study space

There are 4 floors at the MRLR offering a variety of spaces that you can choose from. Choose your zone (Floor). Select the applicable space that most suits your needs whether it’s a booth, a study room, a desk with a PC or just a desk to study at. Remember not all types of space are available on all floors. If you require use of an accessible study room or desk check the “Accessible” box. All spaces are for individual use so will default to either space for 1 or single seat booking.

  1. Select the seat you want and the date and time you wish to book:

Seats will be listed and availability shown on the calendar. Slots are bookable for a minimum of 15 minutes to a maximum of 3 hours (less after 1pm). You can change the length of time to suit your needs by scrolling to the bottom of the page and adjusting the “time until” drop down box.

Once you’ve submitted your times you’ll be asked to authenticate using your University login details.

  1. Check and confirm your booking

Check the date and time is correct, read the terms and conditions and then continue to add your details to submit your booking. Your booking confirmation - including a check in code - will be sent via email.

  1. Turn up and check in

Please don’t come to the Library more than 5 minutes before your booked time.  When you arrive either scan the QR code on the desk, or click on the link in the booking confirmation email and enter the code. You will need to clean the desk both before and after you leave. Cleaning materials are stationed throughout the Library to allow you to do this, as well as hand sanitizer.

5.  Remember to check out!

When you’ve finished please clean your desk and check out – either using the QR code or use the link and the code in the original booking email.  This helps us to manage the space and, if you leave early, makes it available for someone else to use.
