The Student Texts Collection (STC) is a collection of library materials in heavy demand or defined as essential reading by academic staff. There are Student Text Collections on Level 2 in the Philip Robinson Library, and in the Walton and Law Libraries.

STC items can only be borrowed for a maximum of four hours and cannot be renewed.

Overnight loans are allowed:

Monday - Friday after 6pm, due back at 9.30am the next day

Saturday - Sunday after 4pm, due back at 10.30am the next day

(Vacation times may vary)

You can borrow a maximum of three items and reserve a maximum of two items.

Reserving an STC item (Philip Robinson Library only) – you can make a booking for an item for a particular 4 hour slot or overnight. Login to Library Search and follow the Request link next to the item you are looking for.

Overdue charges for late return of STC items - £1.00 per hour or part hour (maximum £15)

Philip Robinson and Walton Libraries have self-service units within the STC areas to issue and return items. Please remember to take the receipt from the machine which shows the date and time the book is due back.
