There are a number of other Short Loan items that are available to borrow. Please be aware that borrowing these items may look different at each Library.

You can find these in the Short Loan area of the Philip Robinson and Walton Libraries, as well as the Service Desk at the Philip Robinson, Marjorie Robinson, and Walton Libraries. The Marjorie Robinson also has self-service items available for Short Loan. 

Short Loan Collection - The 'Short Loan collection' is a selection of library materials in heavy demand or defined as essential reading by academic staff. There are Short Loan collections on Level 2 in the Philip Robinson Library and Walton Library. Philip Robinson and Walton Libraries have self-service units within the Short Loan areas to issue and return items. Please remember to take the receipt from the machine, which shows the date and time it is due back. 

These Short Loan items can only be borrowed for a maximum of two days and cannot be renewed. You can borrow a maximum of three items. Overdue charges for late return of Short Loan items - £1 per hour or part hour (maximum £15). 

Headphones - Headphones can only be borrowed until the next day, and should be returned before closing time. You can only borrow one item at a time, and it cannot be renewed. Overdue charges for late return of headphones - £1 per hour or part hour (maximum £15). 

Short Loan Lockers - Short loan lockers can only be borrowed until the next day, and should be returned before closing time. You can only borrow one locker at a time, and it cannot be renewed. Overdue charges for late return of short loan lockers - £1 per hour or part hour (maximum £15).

Clinical Skills Equipment - Clinical Skills items can only be borrowed from the Walton Library for a maximum of three days, and can only be renewed in exceptional circumstances. You can borrow a maximum of ten items. Overdue charges for late return of Walton Clinical Skills equipment - £1 per day or part day (maximum £15).

Laptops - Headphones can only be borrowed for 12 hours, or until the Library closes on that day. You can only borrow one item at a time, and it cannot be renewed. Charges may be applied for overdue laptops, particularly if they are long overdue. 

Media Equipment - Media equipment can be borrowed for 12 hours, or until the Library closes on that day. You can only borrow one item at a time, and it cannot be renewed. Charges may be applied for overdue media equipment, particularly if they are long overdue.

Calculators - Calculators can only be borrowed for a maximum of two days, and can only be renewed in exceptional circumstances. You can borrow one item at a time.
