You can access ebooks remotely for your exams and wider reading by searching for them in Library Search or connecting via your module reading list in the VLE. When prompted, please enter your Campus ID (University username and password), so that you are recognised as a Newcastle University student off campus.

You will find a video demonstrating how to browse for and connect to ebooks here.

What if I see a message saying all the ebook licenses are in use?

Some ebooks are subject to limited access terms. For example, they only may only support a relatively small number of concurrent users or operate by means of a fixed number of purchased usage credits. Where possible, we advise students to access the ebooks prior to exams taking place in order to make notes, print or download chapters. Please keep trying to access the ebook if you are unsuccessful at the first attempt.

To support our provision of online resources during exams, our team will be available to help with any queries.  Please get in touch via Library Help if you are having problems accessing a specific ebook or are unable to access an ebook collection.
