Our online reading list system is configured to allow academics to label the items on your list through "tags". Together with section headings these communicate to students the importance of that item and helps them prioritise their readings.

Tags

We ask that reading lists use the 'Essential', 'Recommended' and 'Background' tags on all reading references to help students prioritise their study and the Library to prioritise the need for copies of each text.

Sections

We recommend that you use sections to organise your reading references to correspond with topics or with the timeline of your module.

For example:

You can include readings of varying priority (essential, recommended, background) in the same section, or you can group essential, recommended and background readings into their own groups using a keyword in the section to indicate that they relate to the same topic..
