Unused personal funds can be withdrawn by contacting one of the in-person IT Service Desks or logging a request online with NUIT. Withdrawing card funds from a print account should only be done when one is about to leave the University, as it will cause the account to be suspended. Free printing funds, allocated by the IT Service or by a School, are not refundable (except because of printer malfunction).

With the exception of account closure and refund of unused personal funds, NUIT provides refunds only for failures caused by system or equipment malfunction, and not for user mistakes. If your work is spoiled due to equipment malfunction, and you wish to claim a refund, please bring all the spoiled output to the Service Bar in the Old Library building. Please note that this service will close on the 20th December 2024, to be replaced by a new IT Service Support Hub in the Frederick Douglass building which will open on the 6th January 2025.

In the event that a student no longer has the card used to make the initial purchase, NUIT will contact the student with instructions on how to claim back unused personal print credit.
