To access the Architect’s Journal and Detail inspiration journal, you can either:

1. Search for the name of the journal you are looking for in Library Search and use the filters on the left to select journal. Select the title once you find it in the results list, this will than take you to the record for the journal and provide information about the various routes to access it in print and online.

2. Visit the Subject Guide for Architecture > Journals and databases > Top journal titles for SAPL, where you will find links to the key journal titles and information about how you access them. On this page you will also find a full reading list of all of the journal titles for Architecture, planning and landscape that are available in print at the library.

For Architect’s Journal, it is a little more complicated depending on the content you are trying to access. In the Library Search record you will see that there are different options depending on whether you are trying to access an older article or the current issue. If you are trying to access the most up-to-date articles, these can be found by searching the Construction Information Service database.

You can also register on the Architect’s Journal website using your @newcastle.ac.uk address to gain access to the Buildings Database content.
