The OSCOLA 4th referencing style demands that you use the Cite While You Write feature in Word in a slightly different way to how you would use it with other styles.

It is really important that you take time to understand and practice the points covered in the 'OSCOLA and CWYW' video below before using CWYW in your own work.

A transcript of the video can also be found below.

The video covers the following main points:

1:10 - What alterations do you need to make to get OSCOLA and CWYW to work?
2:17 - Selecting the right style in your EndNote Library
2:38 - Selecting the right style in your MS Word document
2:54 - Inserting a footnote
4:03 - Adding a full stop to a footnote
5:29 - Removing a citation
6:51 - Referring to a source you have referenced, but not immediately before
7:40 - Adding a pinpoint
9:31 - Formatting and changing your bibliography / reference list
10:44- Referring to a source you have referenced immediately before e.g. ibid
12:05- Converting your document to plain text
