Yes, if you have obtained an unconditional offer from the University for the coming academic year you may use the library over the Summer before you start your course in September.

In order to access the library, please bring your offer letter to either the Philip Robinson or Walton Library depending on your course of study. We will then provide you with a Vacation smartcard.

This smartcard will allow you to:

• borrow eight Long Loan books
• use our study spaces and facilities 
• connect to our WiFi network using your own device

Your vacation smartcard will expire the day before the start of the Autumn term. You will have by then registered for your course and be able to access the facilities as normal.
