During the vacation period we still recall books that have been requested by other customers. As books are issued on a rolling 7-day basis, this would mean the automatic renewal would halt and you would be notified that you have 7 days to return the book to the library.
If you return a recalled book after the due date, even in the vacation, an overdue charge of £1 per day will be applied up to a maximum of £15 per item.
If you have left Newcastle you can post items back to us and we will deduct the postage paid from any applicable overdue charges which may have accrued (please retain proof of postage for this).
