If this is the desktop version of EndNote, it sounds like you need to update your settings in Word to get your EndNote tab back. To do this, please see instructions below:

If you cannot see the EndNote tab in your Word document you may need to re-enable Cite While You Write (CWYW).

To re-enable CWYW:

Go to File > Options > Add-ins.

Click on the drop-down arrow at the bottom of the screen to Manage COM-ADD-ins and press Go (alternatively go to Manage Disabled Items and click on Go if the previous option didn't work).

Highlight or check the box next to the EndNote Cite While You Write (CWYW) add-in and click on OK.

[If the EndNote Cite While You Write (CWYW) tick-box is not listed then please submit a ticket to the NUIT Service Desk, or email NUIT service desk, and ask the team to add the EndNote tab to Word for you.]

Close and open Word again and the EndNote tab should appear.
