Under the SCONUL Access Scheme, undergraduates of other universities are entitled to consultation access only but postgraduate students are eligible to borrow books from us. Neither undergraduates nor postgraduates will have access to our electronic resources nor to our IT network. To learn more about the SCONUL Access Scheme and to apply for access online, click here.

Once you have applied online, you need to bring with you the email you receive from SCONUL together with your student ID card when you visit us.

By a reciprocal arrangement with Northumbria, Durham & Sunderland universities, their students can come into our library during staffed hours on production of their student ID. Outside staffed hours, there is no access to the building except by smartcard.
