There are two ways you can request an Inter Library Loan (ILL). The cost is £1.50 per request or you can use a token, if your school provides them.

1. Pick up an Inter Library Loan form at your Library (Law students use the Philip Robinson). Fill in the details and hand it in at the Service Desk.

     This is what a completed ILL form for a book, book chapter, etc, looks like.

     This is what a completed ILL form for a journal article or a journal part looks like.

2. Complete an Inter Library Loan request form online. To complete ILL forms online you must have credit on your ILL account. You access your account by logging on to LibrarySearch and following the Inter-Library Loan link on the Library Search homepage (lower left hand side).

When you make an online request, there are two templates to choose from:

     the default template is for  books, book chapters, conferences, conference papers, non-UK PhD thesis &          reports;

     the other is for journal articles or borrowing journal parts.

Make sure you select the correct template by using the correct link.

Remember to check Library Search before making your ILL request to ensure that the library does not hold the book or journal article you require.
