Students and staff of Newcastle University

Connect by selecting newcastle-university from the list of available networks. Use your campus log-on to identify yourself.

If you have any problems accessing the wireless network, please go to your nearest IT helpdesk or ring 85999, or connect with QR code on Philip Robinson Library help desk.

Visitors from universities participating in the EduRoam scheme

EduRoam allows its users to access their home drive and other resources available on their own university's network.

Select eduroam from the list of available networks.

Enter your home university username and password (include the domain as part of your username: e.g. q991234@northumbria.ac.uk). 

When using EduRoam with your own device please carefully follow the instructions

If you have problems using EduRoam, the nearest IT helpdesk will try to assist you.

Other users without a Newcastle University login

Visitors can access WiFi across campus through WiFi Guest. This is in partnership with The Cloud. To get connected:

  • From your device select the WiFi Guest network
  • Open a web browser (if you see a certificate notice, accept to proceed)
  • On The Cloud landing page find Get online at Newcastle University and click Go
  • Scroll down to Create Account
  • Enter your details and connect to WiFi Guest
