Although EndNote works with most of our databases by importing references directly, results from this database cannot be directly exported into EndNote.  So instead you need to save your results as a .txt file and import the file into your EndNote library.

To do this, search China Academic Journals (CKNI) as normal then:

  • At the results page, select the article(s) you want to export and click on Save (top right of results list)
  • Select EndNote in the left-hand menu and click on Output to local (top right).
  • You will see a message asking if you want to open or save the .txt file. Save the .txt file in your H drive (personal filespace)
  • Open your EndNote library and click on File > Import > File
  • Click on Choose then navigate to your .txt file
  • Click on Open to select it
  • Set the import option to EndNote Import and click on Import

Your chosen results will now appear in your EndNote library.
